3RD WEEK APRIL 09 (13TH - 18TH)

SQUIB DIARY
MONDAY 13TH APRIL 2009
Easter. Public holiday. The Lord is risen. But many chicken died for the celebration, today. No Squib
for this week.

TUESDAY 14TH APRIL 2009
In the morning, went to see Daddy. Daddy 3. Still a dashing Ol’boy. From there got to the Lagos High Court. the place looked ‘dry’, even the canteen was not opened for business. Left for Ikeja High Court, which did not look so dry like the LHC.

WEDNESDAY 15TH APRIL 2009
Got to the always crowded Tapa Magistrate Court, Lagos Island where the temples of Justice are nothing more than “containers”.
From Tapa, “landed” on the Medium Security Prison KiriKiri and her “Maximum” sibling. To see some clients.
At the Maximum Security Prison, while waiting to be cleared, witnessed an Alsatian dog which broke loose from the nearby “Naval Town”. The excited dog promptly harassed a group of goats it saw, raising quite a stir in the otherwise calm and quiet neighbourhood.
Couldn’t but help notice that officials of the KiriKiri Prisons were generally polite and easy to get along with. Much nicer than policemen, sure.
Moved from the Prisons to the Ikeja High Court, specifically the Bar Centre:- to attend a meeting of the Tiger Branch Exco.

THURSDAY 16TH APRIL 2009
Came late to the Ikeja High Court. Spent sometime at the Bar Centre.

FRIDAY 17TH APRIL 2009
Was at the Ikeja High Court. late in the afternoon. Settled down to fratenise with some fellow Tigers, at the Bar Centre.

SATURDAY 18TH APRIL 2009
NBA Ikeja’s weekend sports/fitness programme. Still very much on. About a dozen tigers, including yours truly, assembled at the playing field of the Police College, Ikeja. The hard but interesting five a-side soccer game ended a goal-less draw.
The Tigers Sportif Club’s new secretary, a lady canvassed for the ‘doing’ of other sports like volley ball, basket ball in addition to soccer in our Saturday meets. The suggestion sailed through!
